Terms and Conditions

Contract – When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via an email of confirmation sent to you by Alf’s Rooms.

Payment – Payments are to be made in pounds sterling. We accept MasterCard/visa credit or debit cards and bank transfers. A non-refundable deposit of the first night’s stay (for each room booked) will be taken at the time of booking. For bookings of 4 nights or more, we require 50% of the total cost to be paid at the time of booking. All balances are payable 10 days before arrival.

Cancellation – If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.
If a booking is cancelled less than four days before arrival then a charge equal to the whole booking amount will be made.
In the event of a no-show or booking reduction (after arrival) the full cost of the booking will be charged.

Arrival & Departure – Guests can arrive from 3pm onwards & must vacate their room by 11.00 am.

We are strictly non-smoking inside the property.

For single occupancy, the rate is reduced by £15 per night, minimum two night stay.

Parking – A parking permit for the main town car park on Mayors Avenue is provided free of charge when staying in The Captains Cabin and Alf’s King Size Room. (please note this car park is closed during Dartmouth Regatta week but other options are available)

Breakages – Guests are responsible for any loss, damage, or breakage. Any breakage, however minor must be reported to the café staff as soon as possible. Appropriate repair costs may be charged.
